Who is our customer

MLR Forestal de Nicaragua S.A. is a company focused on agro-forestry development, mostly planting Teak and Cocoa within the Bonanza and Siuna regions of the Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region of Nicaragua.

What is our funding objective?

FMO will support a Biodiversity assessment and related training for the client.

Why do we fund this investment?

FMO sees this as an opportunity to demonstrate, with the support of some of the most renowned experts, national and international, the efforts made by MLR in the enhancement of biodiversity, which would set a high benchmark for other forestry companies wanting to do business in this region, with extremely high deforestation rate.
