Your role

The Sustainability Reporting Analyst will play a key role in supporting FMO's external sustainability reporting obligations and ensuring high-quality, transparent, and compliant disclosures. This role will contribute to the preparation of the Integrated Annual Report, coordinate regulatory disclosures required under the ESRS, and support external audit engagements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to deepen their expertise in sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations, such as the ESRS and CSRD.

Key responsibilities

1. Sustainability reporting

  • Contribute to the development of the ‘Sustainability Statement’ section in the FMO Integrated Annual Report, which ensures ESRS/CSRD compliance
  • Takes ownership over the development of the ESRS 2 General Disclosures, collaborating with relevant internal stakeholders
  • Ensure alignment and coherence on sustainability topics between key sections of the report
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the CSRD and other relevant sustainability frameworks and regulations
  • Support internal reviews and benchmarking exercises to ensure relevance and alignment with evolving standards and sustainability reporting practices

2. Project management

  • Support the team with the overall coordination of internal stakeholders for the development of content, as well as production of the Integrated Annual and Interim Reports
  • Lead the coordination of activities related to the use of the internal reporting software and templates

3. External audit support

  • Support the external assurance and audit process for sustainability information, including preparing documentation, checklists, and templates; coordinating responses to auditor queries; and liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate input

Your team

The Integrated Reporting (IR) team is part of the Finance, Integrated Reporting and Impact Measurement department within FMO. It consists of 13 professionals and is responsible for sustainability, statutory and regulatory reporting. The team’s core mandate is to deliver FMO’s Integrated Annual Report and manage the external audit of the financial and sustainability information published in FMO’s Interim, Annual and other external reports.

The IR team is structured into two sub-teams: Sustainability Reporting and Financial Reporting. The Sustainability Reporting sub-team ensures the implementation of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) under the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and manages the external assurance engagements, as well as other sustainability reporting and assurance obligations linked to FMO’s corporate commitments. 

Your background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 1–3 years’ experience in sustainability reporting; familiarity with external audit engagements is a plus
  • Working knowledge and foundational understanding of CSRD, ESRS and related regulations and frameworks, with a strong willingness to deepen expertise in this area
  • Strong analytical and writing skills with keen attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work effectively in a cross-functional environment
  • Collaborative team player who contributes to a positive, constructive, and inclusive work culture
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); familiarity with reporting tools or data platforms is an asset
  • Fluent in English
  • Genuine interest in sustainability and alignment with FMO’s mission and values
