Who is our prospective customer?

Garanti Leasing is a leading player in Türkiye’s leasing market, with more than three decades of operating history and a strong focus on sustainable and productivity-driven growth. It is currently among the top three leasing company in the country, with a market share of 12.4% of new transaction volume in 2025. As of FY25, the company reported total assets of USD 1.6 billion and delivered strong financial results, with a net profit of USD 154 million.

What is our funding objective?

FMO will provide a bilateral senior unsecured facility of EUR 30 million. The transaction is fully allocated to green projects and will support Garanti Leasing’s continued growth in productive SME and equipment financing, with a strong emphasis on energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable assets. This aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its clean-energy portfolio and complements Garanti BBVA’s broader focus on sustainable finance.

Why do we want to fund this investment?

FMO’s long‑term funding provides strong additionality in the current volatile environment, which makes longer-tenor financing less accessible for leasing companies. The facility strengthens Garanti Leasing’s liquidity position and diversifies its funding base, supporting sustainable growth over the medium to long term in line with FMO's mandate. FMO’s investment aims to support activities that contribute to climate mitigation contributing to SDG 13, in line with the FMO's methodology to determine the green finance attribution.

What is the Environmental and Social categorization rationale?

The client has been categorized as E&S Category B following FMO’s Sustainability Policy. The client is a leasing company, and its activities are deemed to potentially have limited adverse environmental and social (E&S) risks and/or impacts. Garanti Leasing applies and Turkish E&S laws and regulations.
