Who is our customer

Aerobotics (Pty) Ltd. is an FMO Ventures Program Agritech investee company active in the Farm Management Software, Sensing and IOT space. The Company has developed an orchard monitoring, yield estimation and insurance reporting product that supports precision agriculture in the high value tree crops segment e.g. citrus, berries and nuts. Key components of the solution are field management, pest and disease control, yield estimation and irrigation management.

What is our funding objective?

The objectives encompass a comprehensive assessment of the willingness to pay (WTP) per product, validation of the accuracy of existing product pricing, facilitation of the pricing strategy for the new-to-market harvest product to ensure optimal initial pricing, management and communication of the relationship between additional value-adding modules/features for existing products and justifiable price increases, and assistance in the delicate task of handling price increases for currently live products with customers to normalize legacy under-pricing. The measure of success will manifest in the establishment of a transparent and optimal pricing structure for each product, coupled with a strategic approach to gradually achieving and maintaining this optimal pricing level over time. Importantly, this endeavour aims to achieve these objectives without jeopardizing existing customer relationships.

Why do we fund this investment?

This project is funded through the Investee Strengthening component of the FMO Ventures Program Technical Assistance Facility, co-funded by the Dutch Government and European Union. This component seeks to enable the Ventures Program investees to meet relevant standards, improve company performance efficiency and revenue, and increase the impact of their business. This project supports these objectives by providing access to advice and the practical and hands-on support with respect to pricing of the Aerobotics digital product which will further support growth of its business and accelerate impact.
