Who is our customer
The World Economic Forum was established in 1971 as a not-for-profit foundation and is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It engages the foremost political, business, cultural and other leaders of society to shape global, regional and industry agendas.
What is our funding objective?
Through this partnership, FMO will enable the World Economic Forum to contribute further and actively participate in developing regional expertise on nature and climate finance and investment for emerging and developing economies (EMDEs) by forming networks and communities to investigate and develop solutions for closing the nature and climate investment gap.
Why do we fund this investment?
It is expected this partnership will gather practical lessons for industry participants and relevant stakeholders to develop blended finance vehicles and risk-sharing structures that mobilise local and regional investors and international private capital for nature and climate that can help close the “financing gap” for green transition in EMDEs.
