Who is our customer

Thitsar Ooyin Company Limited is a microfinance institution created by GRET in 2018. GRET is an international development NGO based in France. The creation of Thitsar Ooyin was done with a view of taking over the microfinance activities that GRET has been implementing in Myanmar for more than twenty years.

What is our funding objective?

To co-fund the services of GRET to support Thitsar Ooyin’s to: - Improve the overall governance of the organization; - support the implementation of new departments in the organization (i.e. Finance, HR, Audit and Risk); and - Operational, Audit, Finance and HR manuals in place.

Why do we fund this investment?

FMO is co-funding this through its Capacity Development Program because this project will provide quality financial services and strengthen the management capacities of low-income farmers. This will help entrepreneurs to increase their income. This particular project will help improve the livelihood of rural populations of Myanmar by providing financial services to vulnerable households and small entrepreneurs, enabling them to widen its market reach through new customer acquisition.
