Your role

As an Operations Treasury Officer, you handle the treasury transactions and processes in cash and securities settlement, collateral and cash positions, and facilitate new cash and securities account opening and closing.  

In addition, the team also works closely together with stakeholders on corporate projects and product development in the Treasury domain where you will have the opportunity to take ownership over your team’s requirements. 

The Treasury front office executes transactions in different types of instruments in the capital and money markets such as issuing as well as purchasing bonds and commercial paper, money market funds, deposits, FX, interest rate swaps, cross currency swaps, and NDS’s. 

As an operations officer you will be involved in the following activities: 

  • Ensure trades are captured correctly in comparison to confirmations and trade life cycle events entered by Treasury Front office in our Treasury Management system WSS Suite. 
  • Execute payments and settlements timely and accurately in WSS Suite and Swift.  
  • Issue, verify and investigate breaks in margin calls on both cleared and bilateral derivatives transactions and escalate where necessary. 
  • Reconcile and report positions as part of liquidity management. 
  • Possess a good understanding of terminology used in confirmations for various products such as Rates derivatives, Swaps, Foreign exchange, Bonds, Commercial Paper and be able to spot inaccuracies. 
  • Handle Swift queries and alerts for sanctions screening in a timely manner escalating to relevant stakeholders when necessary. 
  • Investigate and solve issues arising in the daily operations. 
  • Ensure the quality of the processes and controls. 
  • Analyse and create processes derived from new regulations, projects, products, services and markets, and other improvement plans. 
  • Contribute as key stakeholder on behalf of the team to the execution and implementation of corporate projects and product development. 
  • Involved in market/static data control.

The Operations department (Debt, Private Equity and Treasury) consists of more than fifty dedicated colleagues from many different nationalities and backgrounds. The Operations Treasury team within the department consists of seven enthusiastic specialists. 

Your background

We have a small team of 7 and we have a diverse set of tasks. We are looking for someone with a flexible mindset who is a self-starter, eager to learn and embrace the ability to grow. 

  • You hold a bachelor’s or masters degree, and you have clear affinity with working in a financial institution. 
  • You have at least 6 years of experience in Treasury Operations space, preferably in international payments, reconciliation, collateral and liquidity management, treasury services and funding and derivatives products.
  • You are analytically strong, structured, result-oriented, pro-active and a real team player with good communication skills. 
  • You have an eye for detail, and you continuously want to improve the quality of your work. 
  • You have excellent time management and prioritization skills, and you can deal with tight deadlines 
  • You are familiar with OTC trade life cycles and upcoming regulations in the markets. 
  • Experience with WSS Suite, Swift, Markitwire, TriResolve would be a plus.
