The Equator Principles is a framework for risk management of infrastructure projects, adopted by 91 financial institutions in 37 countries and covering more than 70% of project finance lending in emerging markets.
The principles set minimum standards for due diligence in analysing risk, taking into account human rights, environmental stewardship and socially responsibility, and are applicable to specific financial products in connection with new projects: finance advisory services, project finance, project-related corporate loans and bridge loans.
