Other key drivers are competitive procurement opportunities, and an increasing number of large, experienced project developers. Onshore wind and solar photovoltaic projects in particular have benefited from lower costs combined with greater efficiency and power. In developed countries, solar power even has become cheaper than new nuclear power.
