Gender indicators provided for the Basel, Rotterdam, and Stockholm Conventions

The Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm (BRS) conventions set international standards on protecting human health and the environment from hazardous chemicals and waste. The International Union for the Conservation of Nature, collaborating with the BRS Secretariat, has published a report that develops gender indicators and baseline data collection methods for how women’s considerations are being included in the reporting mechanisms of the conventions, allowing for more nuanced decision-making on how they should be developed over time.
