Your role
- Lead a team of seven Compliance professionals, overseeing key areas such as Personal and Organizational Integrity, Risk Assessment, Training & Awareness, Monitoring, Regulatory Compliance, and Reporting.
- Act as a strategic advisor and sparring partner to internal stakeholders, including FMO’s Investments departments, Risk, Operations, and the Managing Board.
- Advance our approach to behavioral control by shaping and implementing analysis frameworks across the organization.
- Provide integrity and compliance insights to support strategic discussions and cross-functional projects.
- As a member of the Compliance Management Team, monitor progress against the annual Compliance plan, evaluate strategic developments, and help shape the long-term Compliance strategy.
- Collaborate with other Development Financial Institutions to exchange insights and address shared challenges in the compliance landscape.

Your team
The Compliance team is part of the CRO office and currently includes 21 dedicated professionals, led by our Director of Compliance. Our mission? To foster a strong culture of integrity and risk awareness across the organization.
We work closely with the Management Board and other departments to help ensure that we operate within legal and regulatory boundaries and stay true to its integrity standards. That means keeping an eye on regulatory developments, offering expert advice, and helping build solid systems for managing compliance and integrity risks.
Your background
- Master’s degree in law, Finance, or Business Economics
- 10+ years of Compliance experience in the financial sector, ideally within banking
- Proven leadership and management experience with diverse teams, combining strategic oversight with hands-on collaboration
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for risk assessment and data-driven decision-making
- Effective communicator with conviction and clarity, capable of influencing and overcoming resistance
- Skilled in building and nurturing relationships across internal and external stakeholders, including Investment teams and support functions
