We distinguish 5 architecture layers: Business Architecture, Information Architecture, Application Architecture, Technology and Security Architecture. This role is mainly meant for the Application Architecture layer, without losing the responsibility to link it to the other layers.
We have a community of approximately 10 architects, covering all architecture layers and business domains.
All projects and changes need architecture approval. The approval is prepared by the Architecture Review Board and presented to the Architecture Board for decisioning.
