Your role
Due to a temporary internal secondment of one of the team members, FMO is currently seeking a dynamic and talented Analyst/ Associate Syndications to join our Syndications team to strengthen the team for 6 months. As an Analyst/Associate Syndications, you will play a key role in structuring syndicated deals and creating impact in emerging markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a young graduate with banking or development finance experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the structuring of syndicated deals and winning mandates, structuring, credit approvals, syndicating, and closing deals.
- Coordinate due diligence visits and bankers' meetings for co-lenders/participants.
- Undertake administrative tasks related to file completion, compliance, and maintain periodic internal performance reports.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities and structure syndicated transactions in focus sectors.
- Provide pricing advice for the broader organization.
- Contribute to department projects, such as identifying process improvements and optimizing quality standards.
Our offer
- The Analyst will be a scale 7 and the Associate a scale 8.
- This is a temporary role until the 15th of March 2026.
Your team
Partnerships for Impact is in charge of mobilizing third-party capital to scale up our impact in emerging and frontier markets. This ranges from raising public funding to take early-stage risks to managing syndications and catalyzing institutional investors to scale up our impact. We have built a strong track record in blended finance, loan syndications, and investment management, bringing different types of capital together to maximize impact. The department currently has over 40 FTEs that work in three teams, namely: FMO Investment Management, Public Investment Management, and Blended Finance, Syndications & Agency Desk
Your background
Requirements:
- Master's degree in finance, economics, accounting, investments, or business administration.
- Graduate with a maximum of 1-2 years of working experience in banking or development finance.
- Experience with Syndicated loans, understanding of financial markets and Bloomberg skills would be an advantage.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
