General CERT (Company Emergency Response Team) information to understand the framework of this position:
In case of disruptions or other contingency events occur, they must be responded to in an effective and timely manner to minimize damage.
Priority is given to the physical safety of our staff and visitors. To achieve this, a Corporate Emergency Response Team (CERT) is in place.
The objective of the Company Emergency Response Team (CERT) is to ensure an adequate first
response to accidents and hazard events, until emergency services (fire department, police, ambulance) take over.
The CERT will prepare and train an internal first response capability including first aid and firefighting, evacuation procedures and maintain contact with emergency services.
Please know that FMO is regularly cited as an example organization where Emergency Response Team is well organized, which is why the emergency services are always happy to participate in our exercises.
More information about CERT organization can be found in the CERT General Information set.
