The Financial Risk Management team of FMO is an enthusiastic team of nine professionals. Our aim is to ensure that FMO remains financially healthy and stable in order to realize its ambitious impact goals. Our focus is not only on making certain that FMO operates within its risk appetite but also to enable new and innovative business initiatives. We are currently looking to further strengthen our team with a new colleague with specific experience in the market risk area. Our preference goes out to an experienced colleague with a long track record in risk management to further diversify our team composition and ensure longer term stability of knowledge.
In addition to day-to-day risk control-based tasks, you are responsible for identifying risks and ensuring these are adequately measured and followed-up. You are key in formulating long term policies and contribute to defining the risk appetite and keep close track of regulatory requirements as well. You take the lead and/or participate in projects in which Risk Management is a stakeholder. You maintain close relations with front-office (especially Treasury), Finance and back-office colleagues and are able to connect on cross-departmental level while retaining your challenger role. You balance supporting the mission of FMO on the one hand whilst protecting FMO’s capital on the other hand. Improving and innovating FMO’s risk management methodologies and processes are central to what you do.
Please note, if we make you an offer to join FMO, you will need to work through the screening process with our screening partner. The process is designed to check your integrity and reliability.

At the heart of everything we do is our aim to contribute to a world in which, in 2050, more than 9 billion people live well and within the means of the planet’s resources. By reaching out to underserved markets, FMO invests in some of the world’s most challenging business environments. The countries that we work in often have a fragile private sector, little job security and high poverty rates.
