Intern Learning and Development

The FMO Academy is the training & development center for personal and organizational development at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank. We enable the people at FMO to perform at their best through the use of learning interventions and in support of FMO's strategic objectives. It is our ambition to provide via the FMO Academy inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. In 2018 we have already organized 150 training sessions for 2500 participants. The team is positioned in the HR department and consists of two employees.The FMO Academy curriculum is also open for other impact investors, members of the European Development Finance Institutions and FMO clients. In order to support organisational growth and the need to embed further continuous learning within the organization, we are looking for a Learning and Development Intern for the FMO Academy.

Your role

Your role consists of a number of elements. You will need to get to know and understand the organizational learning environment and play an active role in the design, development and maintenance of on-line learning interventions (for example; (micro) learning, video based training, Social Learning, e-learning). You will also ensure effective use and continuous improvement of our Learning Management System.

Your Assignment:

Write a proposal on how to implement learning innovations for FMO employees and external learners, with the aim to share our financial sustainable development knowledge with our clients based in 85 countries.

Your background

We are looking for a colleague with a drive for excellence who takes ownership for the day to day learning and development activities. You enjoy working in a busy team within a dynamic and international environment. You are currently following a university program in Educational Science & Technology.

Required competencies:

  • Tech savvy;
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication;
  • Experience in a learning and development environment is an advantage.

Good to know: this internship is for 6 months, the remuneration is Euro 500 net a month based on 40 hours.
