One of the key deliverables of the IR team is to deliver FMO’s Integrated Annual Report in March 2026. You will mainly support the sustainability reporting sub-team during all stages of the annual reporting process. Including: creating templates and overseeing master files, reviewing content against checklists, carrying out consistency checks, working with FMO’s content management system and supporting the CSRD assurance engagement with respect to managing key deliverables requested by the external auditor (e.g. request for documentation, comment trackers, ESRS checklist, etc.) and engaging with stakeholders across the organization to collect evidence to respond to these requests. This internship offers a great opportunity to gain experience in sustainability reporting and understand how to apply non-financial reporting standards and regulation (CSRD/ESRS in particular) within a truly international organization, while getting to know more about the world of development finance. The intern will work in a very international team alongside young professionals, experienced sustainability reporting officers, and engage with departments across FMO.
The Integrated Reporting (IR) team is part of the Finance, Integrated Reporting and Impact Measurement department within FMO. The IR team consists of 13 professionals and is responsible for Sustainability, Statutory and Regulatory Reporting. IR is responsible for delivering FMO’s Integrated Annual Report and managing the external audit on the financial and sustainability information that is published in FMO’s Interim, Annual and other external reports within its domain. The team consists of two sub-teams: sustainability reporting and financial reporting. The sustainability reporting sub-team is responsible for delivering FMO’s Integrated Annual and Interim Report, implementing the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) to adhere to the CSRD, managing the external CSRD assurance engagement and other external sustainability reporting/assurance efforts in line with (inter)national commitments FMO has signed along the way.
