Your role

As an experienced Cost Controller, you have an eye for detail, while able to understand the ‘bigger picture’. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost management and financial control, with a proven track record of success in similar roles.

Within the Finance & Control team, you will collaborate in the controlling team. The team prepares management information for the Management Board and Supervisory Board on a monthly/quarterly basis. You will be involved in the Strategic / Long Term development discussions and in the Annual Business Planning process. You will be the main contact for the leadership team of FMO to discuss the development of the expenses budget. You monitor and analyze cost variances, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. You prepare and present financial reports to senior management. You are in the lead in calculating the costs of new business initiatives and in the internal allocation of (overhead) costs to other departments. And you will be responsible for the maintenance and set-up of a new cost planning tool that we are currently implementing.

You have extensive experience in cost control and financial management. You have strong analytical skills and attention to detail. And you are keen on delivering your part in bringing our cost control to an even higher level. You produce reports in which you draw conclusions and make recommendations. You drive change and are always on the look-out for improvements.

Our offer

  • Competitive Compensation based on your experience: EUR 90K-110K annual gross pay (based on 40-hour work week)

Your team

The Finance & Control team is part of the Finance, Integrated Reporting & Impact Measurement department. The team consists of 16 professionals, who are responsible for Accounting, Reporting and Controlling. Due to the international and diverse composition of the team, we primarily use English for day-to-day communication.

Your background

  • Master’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, accounting, controlling or similar degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in similar positions, preferably within financial services.
  • Extensive experience in cost control and financial management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highest professional standards regarding business ethics, integrity and transparency.
  • High sense of responsibility and accountability and an ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools.
  • We are looking for an ambitious professional who combines knowledge with a hands-on mentality. You listen and ask questions. You have a helicopter view and are intrinsically eager to work in Finance.
