Your role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:  

  • Managing the Finance & Control team (ca. 15 FTE) and contributing as a member of the Finance, Integrated Reporting and Impact Measurement department (“FIRM”) Management Team. 
  • The monthly financial closing process and providing financial and management information to the Management Board and Supervisory Board for both FMO and its Public Funds, including engagement with external stakeholders such as FMO’s auditor. 
  • Coordinating fair value rounds for both Private Equity and Debt. 
  • Owning the long-term financial projections and the annual budget and forecasting process, working closely together with the Business, Risk Management, Strategy, and Management Board. 
  • Implementing large-scale, end-to-end improvements in the Finance and Risk reporting chain. 
  • Managing the implementation of new products, new regulations, and initiatives. 
  • Engaging as a member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT), which consists of the Managing Board, Directors, and Managers, and is responsible for translating our strategy into operational execution and driving alignment across all departments.

Your team

We are looking for an experienced Manager Finance & Control who will report to the Director Finance, Integrated Reporting and Impact Measurement (FIRM) and be responsible for a team of approximately 15 FTE, consisting of a wide range of experts. Your background

The successful candidate will have the following key qualifications. 

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Controlling, Business Administration or a related field. RA or RC strongly preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance and /or (Business) Controlling with preferably at least 3-5 years in a managerial role in financial services.

  • Strategic financial leader with a broad perspective, collaborating with senior management while remaining hands-on when needed. 
  • Accountable and ethical role model, driving cultural change and upholding high professional standards. 
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, fostering commitment and clarity in financial concepts.

  • This position is based in The Hague, the Netherlands.
