We create partnerships leading to shared value for Dutch businesses and for the development in emerging markets.
FMO’s Project and Partnership Development team manages two dedicated funds on behalf of the Dutch government:
The Partnership Development Facility (PDF) was established in 2016 by the Dutch government and FMO. The facility is open for early stage projects in the food, water and energy climate segments in the DGGF countries.
The Development Accelerator (DA) was established in 2017 by the Dutch government and FMO. The facility is open for early stage projects in the food, water, education, health, and climate segments in low- and middle-income countries.
We can co-finance up to 50% of the project costs needed to advance early stage projects. This can be either through analyzing and identifying the needs and potential of a project, assessing the feasibility of a project, or supporting the procurement process.
Beneficiaries of our funds can either be Dutch businesses or project sponsors (public or private) in emerging markets.
Together with our clients, experts engage in different stages of a project, with a focus on the economic and social return and financeability of the project, and to increase the probability of materialization of the project.
