Your role
As Structured Finance Associate, you’ll be part of FMO’s Nasira team within Financial Institutions. You will support transaction execution, monitor existing clients, manage relationships, and contribute to product and policy development and across all regions within FMO’s mandate.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, and report on MSME portfolio data; support credit reviews and manage claims.
- Monitor portfolio performance from a data quality and credit risk perspective; liaise with clients and respond to information requests.
- Test and improve reporting software and support product/process development.
- Assist with structuring transactions, drafting term sheets, and conducting financial due diligence.
- Preparing clearance in principle, financial proposal and any other document required during the transaction.
- Perform quantitative analysis on large MSME data sets to support investment decisions.
- Operate the credit portfolio model.
- Onboard new clients to the monitoring platform.

Your team
FMO’s Financial Institutions department invests in financial institutions that drive inclusive growth. Nasira is a risk-sharing facility stimulating MSME lending in emerging markets, backed by the European Commission and Dutch Government Fund (MASSIF). Following its success, Nasira+ will launch in 2026, expanding to Asia and Latin America.
The Nasira team consists of ten professionals, including structured finance and portfolio specialists.
Your background
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Master’s degree with a minimum of 2-4 years of work experience, of which preferably 2 years within relevant sector.
- Track record in execution or monitoring in a banking, consultancy or rating agency environment with a preference in securitization, guarantee products, and/or risk sharing facilities.
- Understanding of structured credit products, relevant banking regulations, MSME lending and emerging markets.
- Affinity with data and financial reporting, Excel skills and data analytics.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preference for Spanish communication skills.
